My bikes get banged around, they get wet, they stand in the sunlight. Thankfully, they are steel. I think a carbon bike would run away from me in horror after a week of ownership.Velouriahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00359329171411037482noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2523357558654725888.post-79429762658300628002010-05-01T09:58:22.313-05:002010-05-01T09:58:22.313-05:00Now that I'm using the road bike for the commu...Now that I'm using the road bike for the commute some days (no luggage except for a bum bag) I'm thinking of mudguards (http://www.wiggle.co.uk/p/cycle/7/Crud_Roadracer_Mudguard_Set/5360045569/ ) but I can't bring myself to add them on. Thanks for the vindication ;-)Hamhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17182921009517833997noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2523357558654725888.post-68344467882844872422010-05-01T09:27:28.447-05:002010-05-01T09:27:28.447-05:00Chandra, no. There has been over 4000 hours of daylight in that time. It's like a garage-kept car. The OE paint is still fine on my 76, but is shot on my 91 that got kept outside.Steve Ahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13650405341304401203noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2523357558654725888.post-6665446610226740792010-05-01T01:17:57.442-05:002010-05-01T01:17:57.442-05:00Steve,

Thanks.GreenComotionhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11272116464292908327noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2523357558654725888.post-86983570275502829902010-04-30T21:30:05.558-05:002010-04-30T21:30:05.558-05:00Thank goodness I won't ever have to find some ...Thank goodness I won't ever have to find some self-restraint, because I am positively abusive with my bikes. A bike made of something I can't ding is a bike don't want. This dovetails nicely with my lack of money... Yay!

[eleshot]RANTWICKhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15394479078513545568noreply@blogger.com
