Goodbye Harold

We've know "Grandpa Harold and Grandma Doris" for practically ever. My dear wife went to nursing school with Grandma Doris, and Harold has been a City Councilman or Mayor of Lawndale, CA since we lived there (many years ago). For those unfamiliar with Lawndale, it is directly to the east of Manhattan Beach and south of Hawthorne (original home of The Beach Boys). We bought our first house there, feeling fortunate to get an interest rate of just under 12%, back in the bad ol' days of Jimmy Carter.

We were fortunate to be able to visit with them both this last February when we went to Southern California.
