Sidi Shoe Wear... |
For the last week or two, around our house, some of what passes for humor has revolved around April fifth. This started when I noted that my Sidi cycling shoes were getting tired. My wife noted: "they only have to last until April fifth!"

Before you knew it, the wear on Buddy's saddle was being judged by the same standard.
After all, if all goes well, April fifth will be my last bicycle commute.

Those shoes aren't tired.
Then again, nothing some duct tape won't fix right up.
Nice award! Hope your new beginning brings you a lot of fun times.
Peace :)
PS. Strangely enough, 4/5 is my last day with my TX employer as well.
Just because you are leaving one phase of life, doesn't mean the next doesn't have opportunities for commuting to the grocery or other assorted commutes.
(Sorry my English was horrible on the first try)
WhooHoo! Enjoy it.
I'm not sure I'd refer to making a grocery run as a "commute" any more than a run to the espresso stand that is in the grocery store parking lot. Transportation cycling; certainly, but a commute implies home-to-work to me. I guess one could commute to volunteer work. Interesting point!
Those shoes have done good service, but they are not done yet!
Regardless what you call it, have fun and ride safe.
