One thing about blogging is that the writer knows where something is going to go while the loyal reader can only guess. In that vein, I have taken the first two steps toward a new life. If everything goes according to plan, my bicycle commute will be over.
It remains to be seen whether that is good or bad, or simply "new."

Well, congratulations on the "new". Looking forward to that day myself.
Strangely, that day has more conflict than I would have guessed.
I wish you well with the new beginning, Steve.
All the best.
Peace :)

Funny. I consider springing into new life to be the resumption of my bicycle commute after months of forced idleness. So what happens to cycling in general in your new life?
I think cycling springs into a new life itself.
For what it is worth, my role changes from time to time and at the moment is commute-less. And I miss it, real bad.
In the better weather I was doing a virtual commute before work, but the truth is in bad weather I just don't have the motivation. There's something really satisfying about a decent length bike commute every day - just knowing you'll be riding, because that's how you get to work.
Bleah.
Ham, seven are the remaining bike commutes - unless I drive one or more times...
Now they are six...
